the Omnibus Public Land Package Passes Congress!

A bundle of land conservation bills passed congress and is now on its way to Obama's desk. The bill will designate more then 2 million acres of wilderness, establish the 26-million-acre National Landscape Conservation System, protect hundreds of miles of free-flowing rivers in six states, and designate new National Scenic Trails, Natural Historic Sites, 3 new national conservation and wilderness study areas, and National Heritage Areas across America. The photo above is from the soon to be Dominguez canyon wilderness in Colorado.
